Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Your business texts remain private

OfficeText does not receive, store or view the content you enter into the OfficeText Assistants to prepare your business messages.

This Privacy Policy explains how OfficeText processes personal data when you visit our website, create an account, use our services, purchase a subscription or contact us.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

OfficeText is operated by Hendrik Otto Molhuysen, a self-employed individual registered in Bulgaria under BULSTAT number 181622580, trading under the name OfficeText.

2. What personal data do we process?

Account information

When you create or use an OfficeText account, we may process information such as your name, email address, account details, subscription plan and the Assistants included in your subscription.

Subscription and transaction information

Information necessary to create and manage your subscription may include your subscription status, purchased plan, transaction reference and information needed to provide access to the service.

OfficeText does not need to receive or store your full payment-card details.

Contact information

If you contact OfficeText or use the contact form, we may process your name, email address and the contents of the message you send us.

Technical information

Technical information may be processed for the operation and security of the website, including IP address, browser information, device information, login information and technical logs.

3. Content created with the OfficeText Assistants

OfficeText is designed so that the content of your business messages does not need to become part of your OfficeText customer record.

Information you enter into an OfficeText Assistant to prepare an email, reminder, reply or follow-up message is not intended to be received, stored or reviewed by OfficeText.

After a message is prepared, you can use it with your own email application or mailbox. OfficeText does not send the message on your behalf.

4. Why do we process personal data?

We process personal data only where we have a lawful reason to do so. Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • Performance of a contract – for example, creating your account, providing access to your Assistants and managing your subscription.
  • Legal obligations – for example, where financial or administrative information must be retained by law.
  • Legitimate interests – for example, website security, fraud prevention, technical administration and normal customer support.
  • Consent – where processing specifically requires your consent. You may withdraw that consent where applicable.

5. Payments and Paddle

Where OfficeText payments are processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for the transaction.

Paddle processes payment and transaction information under its own privacy practices and legal responsibilities. This may include information such as your name, contact information, location, billing information and transaction details.

Paddle may provide OfficeText with information that is reasonably necessary to fulfil your order, activate or manage your subscription, prevent fraud and provide customer support.

OfficeText does not receive your full card details from Paddle.

You can read Paddle's privacy information here: Paddle Privacy Notice .

6. Service providers

OfficeText uses service providers where necessary to operate, secure and maintain the website and customer service.

These may include providers of:

  • website hosting and infrastructure;
  • account and security services;
  • subscription and payment services;
  • transaction and Merchant of Record services such as Paddle;
  • email and contact-form services;
  • technical administration and website security.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

7. International data transfers

Some service providers may process or store personal data outside Bulgaria or outside the European Economic Area.

Where required, appropriate legal safeguards are used for such transfers in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Some providers, including payment providers, may also process personal data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

8. How long do we keep personal data?

Personal data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required by applicable law.

  • Account and subscription information may be retained while your account or subscription is active and afterwards where reasonably necessary for administration, disputes, security or legal obligations.
  • Financial and administrative records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.
  • Contact messages are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry and maintain necessary business correspondence.
  • The business-message content you enter into an OfficeText Assistant is not intended to be stored as part of your OfficeText account.

9. Cookies and technical storage

OfficeText may use cookies or similar technical storage that is necessary for functions such as account login, security, customer sessions and operation of the website.

Payment or other third-party services used on the website may also use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for their services.

If OfficeText introduces non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies in the future, appropriate information and consent mechanisms will be provided where required.

10. Security

OfficeText uses appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, misuse or alteration.

We also follow a data-minimisation principle: information that OfficeText does not reasonably need should not be collected merely because it could be collected.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on the applicable data-protection law, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including:

  • the right to request access to your personal data;
  • the right to correct inaccurate information;
  • the right to request deletion where applicable;
  • the right to request restriction of processing;
  • the right to object to certain processing;
  • the right to data portability where applicable;
  • the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise a privacy right relating to data controlled by OfficeText, contact: info@officetext.eu.

For personal data controlled directly by Paddle, requests may need to be submitted to Paddle under Paddle's own Privacy Notice.

12. Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how OfficeText handles your personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the matter.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with an appropriate data-protection authority.

In Bulgaria, the supervisory authority is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).

13. Children

OfficeText is a business productivity service and is not intended for use by children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children through OfficeText.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The current version will be published on this page together with its most recent update date.
